Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

Overview
This digital lesson bundle helps students explore the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as a framework for understanding and action. Through interactive tools, connections to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and examples from young changemakers, students link personal issues of concern to human rights principles. The lessons culminate in creative action projects, where the UDHR serves as a guide for building empathy, critical thinking, and meaningful social impact.

After this lesson, students will be able to...
- explain the importance of human rights and recognize the agency of all people to protect them.
- examine how their own identity can inform which issues are of importance to them.
- assess the power of storytelling in sparking positive change.
- collaborate with others to determine a course of action that inspires change.
- create informed action in response to an issue of concern.
