Changemakers in Action Virtual Field Trip

Overview

In this lesson, students explore the idea of creative action by identifying issues that matter to them and using storytelling to inspire positive change. Through the Virtual Field Trip and hands-on activities, they learn that advocacy can take many forms and does not require large-scale projects or expert resources. The goal is to empower students to see themselves as changemakers who can take meaningful action in their own communities and beyond.

After this lesson, students will be able to...

  • examine how meaningful change can be created by harnessing creativity.
  • evaluate the extent to which stories can motivate others to make changes.
  • identify issues that resonate with them and look for solutions to create change.
  • consider how their own creative abilities can be used for positive change.
  • apply the process of creative action to spark meaningful change.
