These Are the Changemakers: Film
Overview
As a means of building students’ readiness for developing their own creative action projects, this lesson focuses students’ attention on successful changemakers who use film to address issues and create impact in their communities and the world at large. These featured changemakers will model the projects students will begin in an upcoming lesson.
After this lesson, students will be able to...
- understand how film/video function as a transmitter of all creative mediums in addition to being used to share narrative and documentary style stories.
- point to resources on Creative Visions to help with film creation.
- identify examples of how creative changemakers use film to share their stories
